Blackwell Grange Wedding Photography
So, Carl & Ruth booked me at one of my fav wedding shows, The National wedding show, and it was an instant hit. They were looking for something different, I’m always looking to shoot something different! So, deposit paid and fast forward to their November wedding photography. I always love providing Blackwell grange wedding photography, but this had a twist – dog wedding photography!
The couple’s lovely little dog was in attendance, and she just loved Carl, she stuck to his side the whole time, she was just so sweet.
November can always be a tricky time to photograph a wedding, you can get some amazing weather, but you can also get some terrible weather (sometimes both on the same day) but luckily we managed to dodge the rain until the evening where it drizzled abit.
Ruth’s father gave her away, which gave me the opportunity to capture some really iconic photography of creating a “first look” with Ruth and her dad, where he sees her for the “first time”. These are always emotional, particularly when involving other family members. So, after we`d all recovered from this, it was time to get married!
The ceremony was beautiful, and afterwards it was confetti time but not before we captured a signing the register shot, obviously with the dog! Honestly, I think that dog wedding photography may be one of my new fav things.
After the speeches I was able to convince the couple to pop outside with me as Blackwell Grange has an amazing oval built in the wall, so it was just a case of setting up some external flash and asking the couple to practise there first dance. I`m guessing that they probably felt silly doing that, but I think the images speak for themselves! November wedding photography can be rewarding when you push yourself to think about the wedding photography creatively.
Blackwell grange is an amazing venue for weddings, and I’m so glad that manage to visit them quite a lot, and if every wedding involves dogs and some sexy November night light then I’ll be very happy!
