Lesley & Neil – Creative Windy Wedding

 

Lesley and Neil met me and booked after seeing my portfolio at the NEC National Wedding show in Birmingham. They were after creative Wedding Photography for their wedding day and loved my documentary style wedding photography approach – so it was a great match!

The couple had met at work, just before Neil entered the RAF as a PT (fit guy!) and so the wedding was arranged around his duties and Lesley’s day job, but it was obvious that A LOT of effort had been put into this!

The couple had decided on a pre wedding photography shoot with Artisan X Wedding Photography in the run up to the wedding, and this is always recommended… not only do couples get lovely photos, but it settles the nerves and allows me more time to understand them.

So, with the Wedding Pre-shoot completed, everything was sorted and ready, the venue Stratford Park Hotel was looking awesome, and Neil looked cracking in his dress uniform, but there was one thing we didn’t count on… unbelievable wind! As in mother nature!

It was a crazy windspeed; that was like being in a wind tunnel, BUT we managed to turn it to our advantage to create the type of romantic, artistic Wedding photography that I’m known for, and as an added bonus we were able to get out on golf carts for some awesome bridal portraits on the golf course! I love shooting these alternative kinds of portraits and I’m super happy with the results!

The rest of the wedding was in my usual favourite style of relaxed; which meant that I could bring out some well seen observational wedding photography, and the couple LOVE it!
