Destination Wedding Photography – Throwback to sunnier days!

Destination Wedding Photography is a huge part of my “thing” – and something that I absolutely love about my job!

Sonia & Lukas had booked themselves a very special elopement to the Sandals resort of Halcyon Beach ( it’s amazing, highly recommended! ) and so it was my pleasure to be asked to capture there intimate destination wedding photography.

The couple met in Poland, but settled in the UK for work reasons, and made the decision to elope “ just the two of them” as they wanted a more intimate wedding, and what can get more intimate and special than having your vows on the beach in St Lucia as the sun sets!?

I really love shooting this creative wedding photography style as it allows me to really understand and dig deep into my clients needs and wants. And these two were pretty much up for anything!

Especially when I said to Sonia “ how do you feel about getting the sea?” she replied “definitely!!!”

Sonia made an amazing entrance by walking across the beach as Lukas waited in the alter that had been erected on the beach. It was a good 50 metre walk so Lukas had plenty of time to sweat, and I do not think it was the Caribbean heat! Lukas looked super cool in rolled up trousers and white shirt and after the quick, but beautiful and intimate ceremony, we got cracking with the portraits – and that is where we had some fun. In and out of the ocean, cuddling and walking along the beach, it was so romantic as the sun was setting behind them!

The staff and resources at the Sandals resort were second to none, and I can highly recommend considering them if you were thinking of eloping.

Chris turned photo shoot into great fun, we have literally laughed all the way. In fact this was like an extra wedding entertainment for us.
