Bonnie & Anthony – Wedding Rings from an Owl!

Bonnie & Anthony met me and booked after seeing my portfolio and meeting me at the National Wedding Show in very Early 2018.

They had booked Blackwell Grange (one of my fav venues to shoot at) and they were after some really creative Wedding Photography for their wedding day and loved my documentary style wedding photography approach – so it was a great match that we’d end up working together!

We were blessed with some amazing weather during their day, but the rain did set in during the night – especially during the sparkler send-off that the couple had requested!

The ceremony and reception were super emotional, Bonnie & Anthony actually played a trick on the best man too. They had given him an empty ring box, and when he stepped up to present the rings the look of panic on his face was priceless!

Luckily an owl (seriously!) was on hand to swoop down with the actual rings to Anthony`s waiting arm… epic!

The couple were very at ease during the day, laughing and joking with friends and family, and so when it came to their portraits, I was able to convince them to try a few dynamic images to compliment the more candid portraits and thankfully they ended up loving them!
I love shooting these alternative kinds of portraits that challenge my couple’s perceptions, and I’m super happy with the results!

The couple had booked a pre shoot with me and this really helped with them being so relaxed in front of the camera. If there`s one piece of advice I can give couples is that it’s so worth booking one of these!

The rest of the wedding was in my usual favourite style of relaxed; which meant that I could bring out some well seen observational wedding photography, and the couple LOVE it! The couple had structured their day so there was a lot of drinks reception time, gave me loads of opportunity to sneak around like a photo ninja and grab photography of people just being themselves, completely unnoticed.
