September Blog Chris Denner Wedding Photography (16 of 25)

So, 2019… What a big year. The biggest year for us in business.

We had shoots in far flung corners of the world, some exciting locations, with many amazing, brave and foolhardy clients.

We got shortlisted for numerous awards within the industry, and even won a few of them too.

We underwent a name change, out went Your Perfect Day, and in swaggered Artisan X Wedding Photography. An identity and attitude that felt much more appropriate that our older Your Perfect Day moniker.

We had two very successful shows at the National Wedding Show at the Birmingham NEC, as well as great success at regional shows like #wewed with Save The Date Magazine.

We saw first-hand the face to face response to our photography reinforces the power of our art, and its great seeing people’s energy as we explain how we can work with them.

We moved out of our city centre studio after 12 years. A change that was exhilarating and terrifying all at once.

We changed our workflow, support systems, editing techniques, and continued to evolve and refine our vision. Something tells me this will be a never-ending adventure, but that’s the exciting part and keeps things fresh.

We attended some fantastic workshops, training sessions, and social events with some amazing photographers, and allowed our eyes to be opened by the wonderful community that we are a part of.

We moved away from our Canon camera systems to Sony, a move that has opened a whole new creative landscape to us.

I’ve really enjoyed working with all of my wedding couples this year and feel so humbled that they trusted me to create my vision of their perfect day.

We hope that you have enjoyed viewing our “best of” slideshow. These images are just images that I personally connected with and are my favourites for a variety of personal reasons.

So, we’ll see you all in 2020, and I wish you all a Merry X-mas and have a fantastic New Year.
