Sherrie & Michael – Saturday 25th May 2019

Sherrie & Michael had a really hot Wedding day on – so much so that the cake melted! Shocker!

It was doubly upsetting as the maid of Honour Leanne had made the cake specially! But… you’ll all be glad to know the cake was ok, and after a few tears and an early cake cutting it was wolfed down by the guests! Phew!

The couple had seen me at a previous Wedding and it’s always nice to see old clients at new Weddings as I feel I’ve already got a bit of a head start with the guests… and I needed it, as Sherrie’s bridesmaids were a bit of a handful. Serious tequila monsters!

The couple got married at Rothley Church in Rothley, Leicestershire, which is a beautiful old church, and luckily for Michael just up the road from a nice pub, so after getting some great bridal prep photography I met up with the lads there as they were getting stuck into some pre-Wedding shots! They were there for so long that the vicar Richard came looking for them… he wasn’t happy!

After the ceremony we shot off to one of my favourite Wedding Reception venues in Leicester – The Old Stables in Swithland (Leicestershire). It’s an awesome venue, and the Wedding Planner Naomi is just awesome, and I’m not just saying that as I shot her wedding a few years ago!

The drinks reception outside was super chilled and fun, with all the guests just relaxing into the day, and of course the booze started flowing! The Old Stables has ample space outside for a drinks reception, but also more than enough spots to create some intimate Wedding portraits of the lovely couple.

The food service before the speeches had something VERY different, as the Bride and Groom had booked three “Singing Waiters” who came out pretending to be ‘normal’ waiters who burst into song and entertained us for a 30 minute set!

It was so funny, and all the guests just loved it – honestly, it was one of the very best things I’ve ever seen at a wedding, they were just AMAZING!

All told it was day of tears, fun, heat and tequila. Loved it.
