Nicky & Steve – Portrait Wedding
Nicky & Steve met me and booked immediately after seeing my portfolio at the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa Wedding Fair in very Early 2018.
They were after some really creative Artisan Wedding Photography for their wedding day and loved my documentary style and relaxed approach – so it seemed like a “no brainer” that we’d end up working together!
We were blessed with some amazing weather during their wedding day, and the ceremony and reception was held at the brilliant Barns at Hunsbury Hill. Steve’s daughter played a HUGE part in the day, and it was super emotional too as Steve’s brother was his best man – very much a family affair.
The couple were very much at ease during the day, especially when it came to their wedding portraits, so we had great fun setting things up that reflected different tones and moods.
I love shooting these alternative kinds of portraits and I’m super happy with the results!
The rest of the wedding day was in my usual favourite style of relaxed; which meant that I could bring out some well seen observational wedding photography, and the couple LOVE it!
The couple had structured their day so there was a lot of drinks reception time, which gave me loads of opportunity to sneak around like a photo ninja and grab candid wedding photography of people just being themselves, completely unnoticed.
I’m really happy with the images that I captured with Steve and the lads pre ceremony, as well as the portraits that I grabbed with Steve’s daughter as well. Un-posed, fun and with great quality of expression.
Here are some lovely words from the couple from when I delivered them some teaser images the day after the wedding…
“Greetings from Santorini! Having just re read your email, we have been obsessing over the pictures you sent over, they are incredible! Honestly, we both are funny about having our pictures taken but you absolutely nailed it. For now, thank you so much from both of us for really creating our perfect day!”
