This year has been many different things in the Wedding Photography world – and the phrase of the year must be Micro Wedding. These smaller and more intimate options have been the choice for thousands of couples across the country, and indeed the world.
And what a Micro Wedding this was! At one of my favourite venues (Swallows Net farm Barn) we gathered to celebrate David & Thora’s nuptials. Deciding to get married this year and party next year, this happy couple had the best day – and I loved every second of it.
Honestly such a fun couple, they just had a great attitude which suited my natural relaxed wedding photography style perfectly. I’d shot one of the usher’s cousins weddings a few years ago, and so it was through this tenuous link that I got the call from the coupe to book me – wow, I must have made quite the impression, recommendations are so important!
Thora arrived, and swept down the aisle like a goddess with her prod father next to her. The quality of expressions that I photographed during this ceremony are amazing, everybody at this Micro Wedding really wanted to be there. It was just so lovely to see, let alone document it with my creative wedding photography style.
Afterwards we shot some fun confetti shots, and then I sneaked the couple off to one of The Swallows Nest Farm Barns best features – what I call the secret woods. The sun was setting, the couple were relaxed and laughing, and I was creating the type of different wedding photography I enjoy – beautiful and authentic portraits. I love this type of imagery and the couple did too.
