Last of the winters celebrations – Micro Wedding Photography

Last December I had my last Micro Wedding Photography shoot of the year on December 23rd – and it was amazing! Intimate wedding Photography does not get much better than during Covid restricted celebrations, and we had the added bonus of some amazing weather!

Primal & Vishal contacted me after they had postponed there wedding day three times previously due to lockdowns and restrictions and were determined to get married in 2020!

They had seen my portfolio online and feel in love with my candid and relaxed wedding photography style, and so they booked me a mere FIVE days before the actual wedding date!

Crazy times, but if now isn’t the time to be brave or bold when is?

They got married at Glenfield county hall in Leicester, and we were so lucky that we had some incredible weather so after the ceremony we quickly grabbed some formal portraits with close family relatives.

After that it was confetti time, I love shooting confetti images (there’s a handy guide I wrote in regards to how you can get some amazing confetti images) and then we were off to Leicester’s Bradgate Park – surely one of Leicestershire’s highlights.

The couple had spent many happy weekends there as kids, and so when I suggested the idea of a portrait session after the ceremony in the park, it was a plan.

And as Hannibal of the “A” Team used to say – I love it when a plan comes together.

Everything was brilliant, the weather, the setting sun, the couple were so tolerant with me as we really made the most of some fantastic weather and colours. Truly magical.

The main thing that I took away from this intimate wedding photography was how resilient the human spirit can be. These guys had cancelled there wedding plans three times, but wouldn’t give up, they refocussed on what is important to them, and when they were given there opportunity, they grabbed it with both hands.

And it just reconfirmed my love of wedding portraits…truly this wedding was a case of “Us against The World”.

What a way to finish 2020 off.
