Amazing Wedding Photography – edgy wedding photos!

I thought I’d share some Amazing Wedding Photography I created in between lockdowns – some very different wedding photos, created as a Midlands Wedding Photographer!

Last year was all Lockdown, Covid and restrictions… I’ve seen my business and art affected by these unprecedented times, and my portfolio may be not as fresh as I’d like it to be.

So, did I do? The answer is loads…time to blow the dust off my creative muscles.

Before I became a full time wedding tog, I shot a lot of fashion and band work. I absolutely loved the editorial fashion style; I loved the creativity of it and the pace of the work was different to the hectic pace of wedding shoots. These kind of shoots always had mood boards, ideas, and were always about pushing boundaries.

So, with plenty of time on my hands over this last year and a burning desire to create, I feel back into my experience in this area to setup my own styled wedding shoots.

I had plenty of ideas.

Freakish ideas.

Ideas no couple would ever go for… so I did them anyway.

So this is a shoot that I organised and arranged for the first of December last year, I had the whole of the November lock down to plan this shoot, and so assembled a “A” team of fellow creatives so we could create an incredibly special body of work.

I love shooting at The Pumping House venue in Tollerton, and so reached out to them and they jumped at the chance. The venue really is amazing to work at, and I really was looking forward to spending a lot of the time outside for this shoot…so of course it rained! It had to didn’t it?

Here’s the official description for the shoot:

“Set in the distinctive Pumping House, a local landmark in the heart of Sherwood Forest this edgy and modern winter photoshoot perfectly blends the striking industrial spaces with the soft and romantic forest surroundings. The venue spaces provided an ideal backdrop to juxtapose the dramatic and moody style of the model. We wanted to create contrasting scenes to showcase each suppliers work whilst highlighting a variety of unconventional & alternative looks.”
