Hazel Gap Barn Wedding Photography – Lauren & Dan
Lauren and Dan booked me for their Hazel Dean Gap wedding photography after seeing me at Laurens sister’s wedding the year previously. For their Cripps barn wedding photography they wanted something really chilled and natural, which was perfect for me especially as the wedding was in October wedding photography.
They had booked their wedding date for October which is a lovely time of the year because you get such variety in the weather and quality of light. You never really know what you’re going to get which is exciting as a photographer.
The wedding was held at Cripps barn at a venue called hazel dean gap in Nottingham Shire and it’s a photographer’s playpen previously I had only been there once again for an October wedding and the venue didn’t disappoint this time either.
The interior of the barn is beautifully lit perfect for October and the Hazel Gap Barn wedding photography and as Lauren walked down the aisle there’s one moment where she passed a full arch window and the light streamed in Anne just picked her out beautifully post op. Lauren sister was one of her bridesmaids so it was odd for me to return to their parents’ house to shoot bridal prep knowing that I done the same location the year before.
I’m really pleased with the bridal prep photography I got including Lauren coming down the stairs to gasps from all of the bridesmaids. After that it was off for some Hazel Gap Barn wedding photography!
Dan was a typical group in a lot of ways you could describe him as being camera shy which suits me perfectly because my style is so relaxed and candid it worked really well for them.
After the ceremony it was straight outside for some confetti photos and it was unseasonably warm that October day as well so the couple took the opportunity to have the drinks reception outside.
We certainly made the most of the hard October light with some really nice portraits of the couple around the grounds, all of the Cripps Barns are beautiful in very different ways and hazel dean gap has the most amazing driveway and we were able to use that.
After the sit down meal of the speeches we went outside and enjoyed some fun sparkler photography which seem just to sum up the day.
Everything about Lauren and Dan’s day was relaxed and fun, which is exactly what I like to photograph and because I previously already photographed her sister’s wedding the year before, I already had a head start on getting to know the bridal party and VIPs at the wedding.
