The Ashes Barns is such a versatile wedding venue, with some beautiful outdoor space, but also has all the beauty of a rustic barn environment too. Nestled away in the countryside the venue is accessed via along, winding road ( which is great for some subtle bridal portrait ) and so give the venue a real feel of being a “wedding bubble”. When you arrive at the venue, there’s a definite wow factor, with a great bridal space to use, as well as the wedding night cottage for extra space for those important pre wedding prep.

There`s two fantastic photo opportunities at the venue, one at the bottom of the drive, the other nestled away and this is perfect for portraits. I`ve shot over 30 weddings at The Ashes Ashes barns so feel I`ve earnt the title of The Ashes Barns wedding Photography expert as I`ve seen it in every weather and in every month of the year!
I particularly like the venue in the spring/summer/autumn months as after the ceremony we’re straight outside for a confetto phot, and we have so much space we can create something really special.

The fact that there`s separate locations for bridal prep, ceremony and the dining makes your day so much easier, especially when you factor in the drinks reception in the inner courtyard as that gives your guests lots of movement and chance to mingle, and when they are seated for the wedding breakfast they cany help but be impressed by how rustic and beautiful the actual venue is..

This space becomes the scene for the party later on, so if you have a DJ or a band you`ve sure to have lots of space for those dance moves, with the evening bar just up a flight of stairs.
