Summer Wedding Photography – Charlotte & Harry
I know I say this a lot, but I absolutely loved this couple, a great example of summer wedding photography. And as one of the Midlands best wedding photographers it was my pleasure. They were two of my favourite people to work with this year after they were after some fun wedding photography. And it was odd, because despite them both working in the fitness industry, which, let’s be honest, can be a little bit shallow and narcissistic they were both two of the most grounded of individuals. Charlotte was just laughing all day, and Harry just had this loveliest smile on his face all day long. The weather was amazing as the whole day featured some amazing outdoor wedding photography.
The couple had met a number of years previously, actually at another wedding, hit it off and exchanged numbers. And the rest, as they say is history.
The couple live out in Stamford, a beautiful area of Leicestershire, known for his rolling countryside and beautiful small villages, and that’s where the couple had got married. Two of their dearest friends had offered them the use of their spectacular home which they’d converted after lots of sleepless nights, planning and plotting into the perfect wedding venue. And they were blessed with just the absolute best weather for their day. It was just gorgeous. just utterly amazing weather, the kind of weather that you would actually have to book in advance just to guarantee that you had it.
So the day started as normal with some fun bridal prep, and the wedding party engendered themselves to me immediately, by just being completely blunt, and being themselves, there was no airs and graces here – we were straight in with no filter, and they’re the kind of weddings that I really, really enjoy. That’s really set the tone for the day.
Over to the venue and hooking up with Harry and his friends, and like I said Harry’s smile was just from ear to ear. He honestly looked like the luckiest man on the world. He was just beaming and why wouldn’t he because when Charlotte arrived and came down the short aisle, oh my days he just lit up. Afterwards we enjoyed the champagne reception in the grounds and it was just felt right as everything connected.
All the groups of friends were encouraged to mix with each other and they certainly did. From uni days college days, work family, everybody mingled. It was just such a fun laugh. I wish I could say that there was something that they did that like they did that which gave them the day but really, I think it was a bit of everything.
Everything just worked for them.
Even for the bridal portraits where we walked around the small village, it’s just so picturesque and beautiful that it just worked. And then at the end of the evening we chased the sunset for some beautiful sunset photos. These were my favourites from the day.
Really, this was a top day. I absolutely loved it. And so did the couple.
Here’s what they had to say about me on a recent Google review –
“We really wanted candid photography on our wedding day – nothing too posed or intrusive – and the shots are just what we were hoping for! Thanks so much for capturing our day, Chris the Midlands best wedding photographer!”
