Shustoke Barns Wedding Photography – Harriett & Tom
Harriett & Tom`s day was a big deal! Not only because I love Shustoke Barns Wedding Photography (their venue) but because they are neighbours of a colleague of mine, the very talented Alex Bradbury. Shustoke Barns is one of my fav venues to work at as it’s got some amazing grounds for some cornfield wedding photography, as well as being part of the wider Cripps Barn brand, and I do seem to be supplying Cripps Barn wedding photography a lot lately as the venues are so popular!
Alex had referred me to them, and after checking out my portfolio the couple booked, and they made the most of their pre wedding shoot with me (they even brought the dog!).
On the day Harriett got ready at the hotel down the road and was super chilled, even drinking Stella and eating chips in her wedding gown. That’s very relaxed if you ask me!
After capturing all the bridal prep, I got myself over to the venue and captured tom chilling and chatting with guests, this is my fav approach as it means I`m on site and ready to capture the bride’s arrival.
After Tom was ushered into the barn, Harriett arrived to whooping bridesmaids, and her mother walked her the last few steps into the venue, and then gave her away.
The couple had decorated the venue beautifully, and it photographed beautifully, with lots of leafy green plants everywhere.
After the ceremony we had a awesome confetti throw, and then it was time for a mariachi band! The three Mexican musicians rocked the after drinks reception, and it just worked so well with the weather and the general energy of the wedding.
The wedding speeches were emotional. A real rollercoaster if I`m honest, Harrett’s brother made the speech for her side of the family, and he started off strong. Funny, emotional, raw, he didn’t make it easy for Tom to follow. But Toms natural confidence crushed it, his speech was one of the best I`ve ever heard. The best man wrapped it up by wrapping Tom up and everybody was roaring with laughter.
I convinced the couple to have some cornfield wedding photography, and then we partied the night away after a very drunken sparkler exit!
