Rebecca & Alex – Golf Club Wedding Fun!
So, I travelled up the road to the wonderful venue of The Nottinghamshire Golf Club for Rebecca and Alex’s wedding in January, and we were blessed with some mild winter weather on the day.
The venue are big fans of my work, so the couple booked after she’d seen my wedding portfolio and after a fun Skype chat, and so after a few short months it was time to go and rock their wedding!
The couple were after some creative Wedding Photography for their big day and loved my documentary style of wedding photography, so I really pushed myself to deliver that candid and relaxed photography style they wanted.
As I mentioned we were blessed with some amazing weather during their day, and after the ceremony, we went up to the bar area which has a huge open-air space for the drink’s reception. It’s such a great location to work in, and it offered some amazing views of the golf course. What an amazing backdrop for the portraits.
The couple were very at ease during the session, laughing and joking and when it came to their portraits, it was super easy as the couple didn’t want to do anything too posed.
I was able to convince to try a few dynamic images to compliment the more candid portraits and thankfully they ended up loving them!
But don’t just take my word for it, here’s a testimonial from the lovely couple.
“We couldn’t be happier that we could have Chris as our wedding photographer. He really added to the day with a fantastic set of photos as well as his enthusiasm and charisma, which really added to our day.
Right from the first enquiry, Chris was great to deal with, getting in touch with us promptly and being really clear on what we could expect from him. He was also keen to get to know us and what we envisaged from the day.
He followed this up with a more detailed follow up once booked, combining the photo ideas we wanted with his ideas using his previous knowledge of the venue. Throughout, he showed keen interest and a great sense of humour making us feel at ease. We felt like we knew exactly what to expect from the day.
On the day itself, Chris was there early ready to take bridal prep photos and was there to greet the groom when he arrived with the best man. He used his sense of humour to keep everyone relaxed before the wedding and built a great rapport with the guests too.
Throughout the day, Chris showed fantastic energy and enthusiasm, taking great natural photos during the drink’s reception capturing the happy faces of the guests, beautiful family portraits and amazing photos of the bride and groom.
He also managed to organise significant numbers of guests to shoot confetti shots and an awesome sparkler photo, which has become a signature photo of the wedding.
Thank you, Chris!”
