Martyn Danks & Hannah – 20th April 2019
Martyn & Hannah had booked me a few years ago as Martyn was a best man at a wedding I’d shot at Rowton Castle in 2016, and after seeing his friend’s wedding photography, the bridal couple booked me as soon as he had a date – In fact he was texting me to secure the date as I was shooting another wedding, I came out of the church, turned on my phone and had a bunch of texts! Talk about keen!
The happy couple had their great day at The Mill Barns, Alveley and I just LOVE shooting at this venue (despite it being a ninety-minute drive each way for me) as its just fantastic to work in, the grounds, barn, staff everything… just perfect!
It was a super nice wedding day weather wise, so we were able to make the most of the grounds and created some really cool images with some coloured gel lighting and reflections (definitely one of my favourite techniques at the minute). I’ve recently invested in some of the spectacular MagMod Professional Photography Gear – sure it’s expensive but its great! So much fun to use!
I was able to grab some quick couples’ portraits before the sit-down wedding breakfast (as well as discuss some Game of Thrones theories with the couple) but in my opinion the second set of portraits came alive as we caught the dying light! It’s so exciting when it comes together like this, in fact this collection of portraits are some of my favourites this year.
But don’t just take my words for it… here’s what the big man himself had to say the morning after the wedding when I emailed across some images.
“Hi Chris,
Thanks for sending over the teasers, they’re absolutely awesome! We love them all and love the style of the portraits. Can’t wait to see the rest of them now!
Again, thanks so much for shooting our wedding, we’re so pleased we were able to get you and all our guests commented how awesome the photographers were!
Cheers
Martyn & Hannah.”
