Colourful wedding photography – so many rainbows!
Feast your eyes on this colourful wedding photography. An amazing LGBTQ positive wedding, where you could wear any colour of the rainbow.
I love this kind of natural wedding photography, where I can really get my teeth into creating some ambiguous and brilliant documentary wedding photography for the LGBTQ wedding couple.
Verity and Jen had seen me at their friend’s wedding some years earlier at Barton Hall hotel in Kettering, and I must have made an impact, as when it came to their wedding celebrations they organised and booked everything (including me) within ten weeks!
They held their wedding outside at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Cambridge, and it was a baking day! The explosion of rainbows colours everywhere was amazing, they were so LGBTQ proud it was awesome! It was a bright day that it wasn’t hard at all to create some very Colourful Wedding Photography!
The two met while working at the same school and decided to have a very intimate wedding – this was a micro wedding below micro weddings were a thing!
The river and crowds outside added to the excitement of the day, and the sun just beamed down it was so hot! After a very emotional ceremony with lots of tears and laughter, it came time to jump into some punts and go up and down the river.
Onlookers clapped and cheered the lovely couple as a rogue swan tried to steal Jen’s corona bottle, so I think its safe to sat that swan was very cheeky!
I do love shooting LGBTQ weddings, every wedding is unique but there was something extra special about this day. Maybe it was the combination of the intimacy, the sunshine, or the boats but I could not stop smiling!
After the wedding the lovely ladies had this to say about my natural wedding photography –
“Hi Chris,
Hope you have had an amazing holiday (by the time you read this email!)
Thank you again for the photos. We absolutely love them.
Thank you so much for all your time, love and creativity on the day – all the family said how lush you were!
We love the taster shots and cannot wait to see the rest of them – just the pop of the bright colours is everything we imagined.
Thanks a million,
Jen and Vez”
