Birmingham Wedding Photographer Duck Photobomb

Carla & Paula – Duck photobombers!

Welcome to my Birmingham Wedding Photography Blog Post: Looking back through my Wedding Photography from last year, this one jumped out as something I needed to blog about.

Usually I tend to blog about more of my Birmingham Wedding Photography shoots, as this is where I tend to work a lot, but this wedding really touched me. A great mix of expressions and fun.

Carla & Paul had met me a few years ago at the Kettering Park Hotel Wedding Show. They loved my alternative Wedding Photography style, so delivering the candid wedding imagery they loved was really important to me.

Luckily, we were blessed with some knock out weather on the day, Carla got ready at a separate location so I hit that first, getting an emotional “first look” image with her father, before getting over to the church to catch up with Paul and the boys.

His union with his father nicely mirrored Carla’s connection with her Dad, and so I’m super proud of that.

The vicar gave me pretty much free reign during the ceremony, and the couple didn’t waste that opportunity at all, providing me with some killer expression afterwards, and that set us for an awesome confetti shot!

The couple were after some really creative Wedding Photography for their big day. They loved my documentary style wedding photography as well, so I really pushed myself to deliver both aspects for them.

As I mentioned we were blessed with some amazing weather during their day. And so after the ceremony at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Cambridge, we walked to the reception at The Manor Barn, Washpit Lane, and got epic-ally photo bombed by a pack of rogue ducks.

The Manor Barn such a great location to work in, and it offered some amazing photo spots, some secluded, some farm style, all awesome. What an amazing backdrop for the portraits!

The couple were very at ease during the day, laughing and joking around with their family and friends.
