Looking for the perfect wedding venue in Birmingham? I got you.

Birmingham has some of the best farm barn wedding venues in the country in my opinion. These venues suit my style of creative documentary wedding photography down to the ground.

So, as a self professed expert on Birmingham Wedding Photography I’m going to share my fav three venues. Don’t worries if your venue isn’t in my top three as it was a very competitive list. This list is based on my own experiences shooting Birmingham wedding photography, and Is my list of the Best Birmingham Wedding Venues.

Generally I find myself shooting ay farm barns, so there’s no city centre hotels or venues listed here. I prefer the wedding bubble that a beautiful farm barn offers my couples.

AN ICONIC Birmingham VENUE THAT OOZES STYLE

The Mill Barns is probably my fav venue, and not because I`m a Mill Barns recommended photographer either. Its simply because I love this venue!. Its in Bridgenorth, tucked away and does impress from first glance as its just beautifully made. Here`s a blog from the Mill Barns.

There’s a separate barn for the wedding ceremony with beautiful light, and a long walk so its fantastic for timeless wedding photography when couples make there entrance.

We can do confetti inside or outside, and the separate barn for the dining and dancing means that there’s lots of movement on the day and the wedding doesn’t get bogged down in one spot.

.There`s great gardens and a pond behind the property for portraits but I enjoy using the bridge over to the barns for evening portraits and group portraits.

Shustoke Barns – Birmingham

In their own words “Shustoke Barn is an 18th century red-brick barn set around a private courtyard.
140 person capacity (ceremony & dining)
200 person total capacity (including evening guests)
State-of-the-art Funktion-One sound system

  • Good for intimate weddings as the barns so rustic
  • Lots of on site parking and space to mingle and chit chat
  • Countryside location, with an amazing inner courtyard

A rustic Birmingham VENUE THATs beautiful

Shustoke Barns is member of the Cripps Barn wedding umbrella, and whilst I work a lot of the Cripps venues providing documentary wedding photography, Shustoke is my fav. I love the intimate barn and the ceremony and the dining ( and later the dancing ) are held here with beautiful light particularly during the ceremony. Here`s a blog I wrote about this wedding venue.

There`s a fantastic courtyard at the back of the venue, perfect for a group photo as I can shoot from the first floor down into the courtyard. Perfect for the drinks reception too as everyone is together.

I cant say tell you how much I love the light at this venue, that’s why it made my list of the Best Birmingham Wedding Venues. In the evening the sun sets over the driveway and its so beautiful to watch my couples wrapped up in some beautiful golden hour light.

And I haven’t even mentioned the food! Honestly the best yum yum.

AN stately BIRMINGHAM VENUE with outdoor space

A new venue that’s winning a lot of awards right now, and deservedly so. The service and staff are second to none, and its outdoor spaces are excellent! Here`s a blog featuring my Stockon House wedding photography

There`s lots of unique space to be creative from the front driveway overlooking the fields to the back gardens where the ceremonies are heard in the summer time. Its a versatile venue for sure.

There`s a huge dining room which has amazing light for the dining and speeches and when its party time there’s a huge dance floor to throw some shapes.

There’s only a few rooms onsite so do bear that in mind when booking, so get in early.

I’ve shot over 300 weddings in Birmingham and the surrounding areas and I’ll never tire of it.

I know it feels big headed to refer to myself as the Birmingham wedding photographer to listen too, but I`d say my experience supplying Birmingham Wedding Photography at so many different wedding venues in and around the Birmingham / East Midlands area. These three venues really are something very special and know that any couple will have the best day at any of them.

Fam barns naturally suit my documentery wedding photography style and these venues all tick the “wedding bubble” for me.
