Royal Forest Wedding

This venue is an absolute gem of a location for me to create my unique style of candid wedding photography. The whole site was dreamed up during COVID when the owners used the time constructively to build the teepees and the surrounding areas in their forest so when the pandemic was over they were able to open their doors and welcome open minded couples who were looking for something completely different for their wedding day.

I really enjoy working at royal forest the staff are fantastic communication is strong and being in an outdoors environment nestled away in nature feels very good for the soul. I particularly enjoy the entrances and exits before and after the ceremony and the mingling of drinks reception photography is always fun as people are generally over the moon excited and intrigued by this unique wedding venue.

Obviously being in a forest that lends itself to the couples portraits and these are some of my favourite parts of the day at royal forest weddings as the opportunity to shoot low light during the dusk is a fantastic but equally being able to create portraits in the hard sunshine as that light lances through the trees creating different shapes and textures and tones is a lot of fun as well.

Being a relatively new wedding venue the staff and the team there work really hard to ensure that you have the absolute best day possible and as it’s a new venue it still seems like a dream to work there. From their purpose built for idle rooms to the awesome dance floor complete with its sunken neon LED lights royal forest weddings is a venue unlike any other that I’ve seen.

One of the things that really is of value to people getting ready before the wedding is the brand new purpose built bungalow where one of the bridal party can choose to get ready before the ceremony.

It’s got a huge kitchen loads of areas to chill out loads of areas to get ready in beautiful natural light comes in through these big windows and it genuinely is one of the nicest bridal suites to get ready in in my opinion.
