Prestwold Hall wedding photography
What a wedding to wrap up the end of my year. I do love weddings at Christmas and I specifically love being at Prestwold hall wedding photography, and shooting winter wedding photography. This was a really nice wedding for me as it was in Leicester, my hometown, and it’s very rare that I get to supply Leicester wedding photography, as I’m usually based more in the Midlands.
So Emma and Aman ended up talking to me about their Christmas wedding at Prestwold Hall in Leicester after they found me on an online directory, specifically bridebook. Now in the past I’ve had some success and some not successful directory listings. But this proved to be a good fit, as after we’d had our first initial zoom call, it was obvious we were all on the same page, and the couple have decided to work with me.
We were blessed on the actual wedding day with very good weather. One of the problems with winter wedding photography, and specifically Christmas wedding photography is that you can have very dark skies, very overcast horizons and very and lots of rain.
The couple were blessed with none of this. And we were able to make the use of the grounds outside for some evening portraits, group shots and a spectacular sparkler photo as well. After some amazing bridal prep photos, which included a first look with Emma`s father, and some laughs and jokes with Aman and the boys headed downstairs to the drawing room for the ceremony.
Immediately after the ceremony, it was confetti time. Now everyone knows I love confetti and this didn’t disappoint at all. It was everything I look for in the confetti image, brash, colourful and energetic. I convinced the couple to sneak out by themselves for a couple of couples portraits, where we were able to utilise Prestwold Hall’s grand exterior, and I feel that these images really work very well.
Especially considering that what could be a contrived kind of image. However, in this instance, it was justified as the couple are keen dancers. And so the narrative worked well for me.
I really enjoyed working with Emma and Aman on this wedding day. It was everything I look for. And I really enjoyed being on home turf, and providing some less to wedding photography again. I’m actually back at Prestwold Hall in about a month’s time and I’m really looking forward to see what can be created there in summer.
Here`s what the couple had to say about me on Google:
“Chris is an absolutely amazing photographer! We are so pleased with our wedding photos, not only do we have some beautiful and creative shots of us but lots of candid photos of particularly happy/ funny/ emotional moments. Chris has been super responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and also managed to turn our photos around very quickly. We really appreciated him sending us a few photos the next day which we were able to share with our friends and family. He is also incredibly experienced and a fountain of useful wedding advice, he could definitely have a side hustle as a wedding planner if he ever felt so inclined.!
