Maisy & JT – 19th April 2019

 

Maisy & JT (cool nickname huh?) got married at Norwood Park in Southwell, Nottingham, and it was great weather… just glorious, so we were really able to get out and make the most of the park’s grounds!

All of the wedding bridal party were close friends and family (sisters, cousins etc) so it was full on family banter during the bridal prep. As the bridesmaid’s kept Maisy calm upstairs. JT meanwhile was just chilling, completely relaxed as he enjoyed a pre wedding drink outside. Although he had arrived in a great car that Maisy’s father had hired for him specifically, so maybe he was all excited out!

After the wedding civil ceremony we were able to enjoy a drinks reception out on the back lawn, and I saved the couple’s wedding portraits for later so they could bask in the sun and enjoy time with their guests.

JT’s brother was his best man (the other best man was Maisy’s cousin) so the speeches had a lot of family relevance, and to be honest were pretty kind to JT, given his “jack the lad” vibe lol. I thought he was going to get crucified by them up there on that top table!
Maisy really loves my “hero” photos and so she wanted loads of them, but the one shot that she really, really wanted was that classic confetti shot, so I was super pleased with how that came out! Love it!

After the speeches I whisked the couple off for 15 minutes to finish off their portraits, and the sun was going down, so we got some very sexy light, and back inside the park, the venue was empty so I was able to set up a great interior shot using gel lighting and mirror reflections.

Adam Thomas and the Souldjers were our wedding singer entertainment in the evening, and it’s always a pleasure to see Adam rocking a full dance floor, he’s definitely one of the best party suppliers out there!

All in all, a great day… loved working with these two.
