Donnington Park Farmhouse wedding photography
Charlotte & Steve were another victim of the Pandemic last year, but 2021 was there year for some Donnington Park Farmhouse wedding photography! Donnington Park Farmhouse is a great wedding venue situated near me so it easy to supply some Midlands wedding photography, and always brilliant to work there, especially as they used the lockdown to totally rework the gardens. It’s a beautiful venue, nestled away in the countryside, so it’s easy to capture some Rustic wedding photography vibes, as there`s a huge field opposite, as well as lots of different little spots to work in.
The barn looks great when dressed right, and it was awesome capturing some pre wedding nerves of Charlotte and her party who were getting ready on the premises. One thing I’m really enjoying right now is what we call “first look” photos, where the father of the bride ( or someone else who is close to the bride ) see`s the bride for the first time, just before she`s ready to walk down the aisle.
The ceremony was fun, both Steve and especially Charlotte were full of smiles that day and there was plenty of giggles, nerves, and big grins. I usually prefer to shoot the confetti photos straight after the ceremony, and we did the same with this wedding. I`d definitely advise checking out my blog post here about how to arrange the perfect confetti session! These guys did, and the results speak for themselves!
After the confetti we chilled out in the sun with the drink’s reception, then it was into the speeches. The food service is always done in the old sheep pens, and its lost none of is charm! It’s a great space for the speeches and food and feels really rustic and authentic.
The couple had arranged for a special guest at their wedding too – a T-Rex! A costume that inflates, and is about ten feet tall, one of the brides’ sisters jumped into it and started having fun, chasing the guests around as I snuck off with the lovely couple to create some evening portraits.
The sun was perfect for the evening photos, and Charlotte didn’t need much convincing to scale the iron fire escape to create an epic solo portrait!
Everybody danced the night away to the band, all in all it was worth the extra wait for these two sweethearts.
