Being a Leicester wedding photographer I love shooting weddings at Donington Park farm house as it’s a quick 20 minutes down the road from me. Nestled in 20 acres of beautiful Leicestershire countryside it’s so close to East Midlands Airport that you regularly see aero planes take off and land over the wedding and right next door to Donington race track I’ve actually shot weddings at Donington Park farmhouse where we’ve actually seen festival goers on the road outside the venue. Darlington park farm house wedding is somewhere I can really recommend that couples look at if they’re looking for something unique and beautiful to hold their big day.
There’s a number of spaces where you could hold the wedding ceremony the 1st is in the large threshing barn which is rustic and decorated in a traditional barn style. Second you can get married in a smaller more intimate bond setting set towards the back of the property and this is ideal for weddings where you have probably around 40 to 50 guests. I’ve also shot weddings at Donington Park farm house where the ceremony is actually outside within the inner courtyard though this kind of ceremony and celebration only really works during summer time for obvious reasons.

Donington park farm house have recently refurbished and re landscape their inner courtyard and it works fantastically for the drinks reception part of the wedding day now I’m a massive fan of photographing guests enjoying party games chatting mingling and generally having fun and this environment is fantastic for that. I’ve also shot a number of bands outside for the first dance and the evening reception during the height of summer and it’s really nice to be able to have that choice you can either have your party in the threshing barn or you can choose to have it outside.
Of course one of the absolute highlights of Donington Park farmhouse wedding is the sit down meal in the pig pen, that’s right the pig pen as it used to be an old pen. It’s rustic charming and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before if you really want to give you a wedding guest a very memorable dining experience the pig pen is the way to go. Donington park farm house is very flexible in the way that it’s run and the wedding staff are very open to ideas in the past I’ve shot all manner of weddings at Donington Park farmhouse including weddings where a guest got dressed up as a T-Rex and attacked the bride and groom because apparently the bride and groom loved dinosaurs as well as numerous sparkler and great confetti moments outside given that they’ve got all of that space.
