The Hundred House Shifnal is a venue based in Shinal near Bridgenorth, and the fact that it regularly clears up at all of the wedding awards specifically for best venue should tell you everything you need to know. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’m often find myself there and I do love shooting at the Hundred House as I find the way they allow me to create wedding photography is just so much fun as the House attracts my kind of client.

There’s so many areas to the Hundred house to photograph in from the herb garden to the barn to the details outside the listed building there’s so much to work with in terms of tone and texture

As I mentioned previously I like the herb garden for the couples portraits but there are surrounding fields and lots of other photo opportunities for the day. One of the things I do enjoy shooting at the Hundred house particularly for Hundred house wedding photography is doing sparkler photos in the evening as I do find these to be really fun and genuinely show stopper.

It’s then round to the drinks marquee with its own private bar so that you can mingle catch up and talk to your guests and share the love that is naturally going to happen on the wedding day.

One of the things I like most about the Hundred house is that the weddings generally take on more of an intimate feel due to the surroundings. The barn itself works beautifully for the wedding ceremony as it really is very intimate and beautiful. I like the fact that after the ceremony it’s very straightforward to do some quick family portraits some quick couple portraits but also to get that iconic confetti photo done as the couple come out of the double doors and the wedding party are ready to celebrate!
