Simply Googling Local wedding photographer may seem like a really smart idea but ultimately it may be the wrong idea. As a wedding photographer myself I get approached by clients all over the world wanting to work with me and shoot their weddings be because they connect with my style my ethics and the feel and vibe of my work. And yes it is lovely when these clients are literally on my doorstep ( venues like Winstanley House for example ) and a 20 minute drive down the road but more often than not I find myself doing 3 or 4 hour round trips to work with my clients on their perfect day.

As a wedding photographer I pride myself on being the right fit with my clients and when I say the right fit as in we bring the best out of each other that they trust me to create beautiful wedding photography but equally I feel that I’m someone they can get along with share their worries and anxieties with which only makes the finished product stronger.

Googling Local wedding photographer will obviously bring up photographers that are close to you but that doesn’t mean they are the best photographer for you. I would honestly recommend Googling a little further afield as well and looking for specific search terms that you’re looking for be it documentary wedding photographer creative wedding photographer relaxed wedding photographer etc etc.

I know it’s tempting just to take the easy way out and use Google but you may be missing out on some fantastic photographers that are more than willing to travel to work with you. I mean on the other side of the coin you may find someone 10 minutes down the road who knows your venue incredibly well has shot there a bunch of times and is the right fit for you, but I honestly believe that you’re letting yourself down by simply Googling wedding photographer near me.

As I said previously I’ve shot weddings all over the world and previously I used to be known as a quite the destination wedding photographer before COVID epidemic hit us and so I’m always ready to jump on a plane jump on a train or jump in the car as long as it means that I’m working with the right couples for me couples understand my work and are looking for something different beautiful and intimate.

So there you have it – that’s my honest advice whilst it’s absolutely OK to Google wedding photographers near me I’d also be a little bit more specific with your searches feature it around the venue and feature it around the style of photography your actually looking for.
