What are my favourite parts about photographing at Stockton house is to do a first look with a bride or groom and their chosen loved ones. This can be with Beaver bridesmaid a father and mother or even just a gang of friends they want to celebrate the love of two people coming together. I enjoy shooting weddings at Stockton house in the summer as I said before because I like to use the grounds, particularly the outdoor space for the wedding ceremony which is set at the back of the property. It’s quite a long walk from the house which does give me plenty of scope for really interesting documentary wedding photography as it’s obvious to see the nerves and excitement involved in everybody.

I particularly like the long driveway at Stockton house as this is great for dusk portraits as the sun does set facing the property so it’s quite common to get an absolutely beautiful sunset with the couple walking towards the house so the sun is behind them just lowering itself behind the rolling W Midlands countryside. Stockton house is one of those amazing wedding venues where everything seems to flow effortlessly, and I think a lot of this is down to the energy of the house. The new development which is the property on the side which is for the dining speeches and for the partying does make the day seem effortless, as we are able to move through the day without getting bogged down waiting for the staff to rearrange tables clean things up or move things along particularly in summer as the drinks receptions on the back property are fantastic.
