Shustoke Barns as I said previously is part of the Cripps chain and this is a chain that is well known for their food and a particular interest of people would be the glass fronted kitchen so as guests arrive they can actually see the chefs preparing their evening meal. It’s little touches like this that makes Shustoke Barns one of my favourite venues to provide wedding photography in.

The inner courtyard is brilliant as well particularly during summer in spring and autumn weddings as guests can mingle enjoy a canopy and an alcoholic beverage and allow myself as a documentary wedding photographer to capture all of these intimate moments. This area also serves for the confetti photo which as you can probably tell from my website is one of my favourite moments at any wedding day.

This area also serves as a great vantage point to get a group photo of all guests so there nobody can say that they weren’t in a photo. I particularly enjoy Shustoke Barns in autumn September weddings when the sun sets over the driveway up and you can create some absolutely stunning backlit dusk photos it really is very dreamlike working at Shustoke Barns during this time.

One thing to consider though regarding the venue is that whilst they do have a separate and private upstairs area there is no bridal suite so essentially you are arriving at the venue ready to go which does make for very interesting photography as couples arrive and I’m able to snap them walking up the main driveway capturing all the nerves emotion and excitement.
